The International Cricket Council (ICC) will organize this mega tournament, and India will be the host nation. It began on October 5 with the first between England and New Zealand and will conclude on November 19, 2023.

Initially planned for February to March 2023, the tournament’s dates were changed to October and November because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ICC shared the tournament schedule on June 27, 2023.

To mitigate the impact of moisture, measures were instituted, such as using a wetting agent and altering boundary distances.

All teams finalized their 15-player squads, with squads announced by September 26, 2023.

A total of 20 match officials, along with four match referees, were named for the tournament.
